Taegeuk Sam Jang (3rd)  -  Fire - symbolizes the "Ri", one of the 8 divination signs, which represents "hot and bright". This is to encourage the student to harbor a sense of justice and ardor for training.  New techniques include Inside knife-hand strike, twin knife-hand block and the back stance.  This poomsae is characterized by successive block-punch and, kick-punch combinations. Emphasis is laid on the counterattacks against the opponent's attack.
